On October 24, GJ and I went to Seaholm Power Plant to be part of Thrill The World! It’s a world wide event where everyone dances to Michael Jackson’s Thriller at the same exact time. (We’re part of a world record!!) After the event we all had a Michael Jackson dance party.

Poor lil’ GJ almost got bit a few times, but he managed to survive without catching any zombie viruses. I did make him take a bath in Purell after the event though… Luckily, all his anti-zombie shots are up to date!

We forgot another day of our year long Gossamer 365 project. We also keep forgetting to upload the photos. Today, we were DETERMINED to upload all our new pictures to Flickr and post some of them here. Unfortunately, we left our camera at work.

Yes, we are bubble brains.

Despite the fact we can’t remember anything, we are still very much loved. We have new fan art by Melody! (Thank you!)

In other news, we got our new passports!!

We mentioned before that we made plans to go to London, England for a study abroad program. Those plans changed a bit. We thought the course was British Literature but turned out to be Intro To Drama. Drama is not something we are really into anymore. (Long story.) Luckily, the trip to Yucatan, Mexico is exactly the type of adventure we would like. Plus it’s cheaper and that makes us giddy-extreme.

Last but not least, we’re trying to make SOME changes to the website. We’re getting bored with it and want to try something different. We’ll post any updates when (and if) they come.

Just for the heck of it, here’s a random Gossamer 365 picture just because it’s cute. It’s Day 137, and it is of Gossy and with his favorite summer treat!

GJ and I got to see Jeff Dunham live!! It was so amazing. He was performing at College Station for the Texas A&M First Yell. It started off with different type of school music and dance performers which led to the amazing Guitar Guy: Brian Haner. He’s creepy expressions make us laugh. A LOT.

Now, you have to understand we are HUGE fans of Jeff Dunham. We have seen as many Comedy Central specials and YouTube clips of him as possible. This was our second time to one of his shows and our sides are still hurting from laughing so damn much.

The Reed Arena was completely packed!

For a guy who plays with dolls for a living, he sure has a HUGE fanbase.

Good News: We’ve passed the 150 mark in our project!

Bad News: We missed another day.

We are sad.

Day 154 has come and gone. I’m starting to think we’re not really good at this whole take a picture every day thing. Once again, we must move on and continue to take pointless pictures every single day.

Gossy didn’t take missing a day too well. When he’s moody, he stays that way for days. I didn’t want to deal with moody-ness, so I gave him a knife and Wreck This Journal. A few hours later, Gossy was happy as ever.

For those not familiar with Wreck This Journal; it’s a journal that you wreck. Therapy through destruction!

Everything’s back to normal now. We even made a stop by Lake Pflugerville.

We love food. Just not any food; we love dessert. The one thing we love more than dessert, is baking it ourselves. For the hell of it, we’re starting a new project. Once a month, we’ll try a new recipe. Why once a month? We’re dirt poor and can’t afford that many good ingredients. Anyways, we decided our first recipe will be Peach Cobbler! We have made this a million times before, but wanted to try a new recipe. A Paula Deen recipe to be exact.

We loved the way the peaches came out! We had to add an extra cup of sugar to the peaches since they were not all that sweet. The result was fantastic.

The crust wasn’t our favorite, but still pretty damn good. Even when we do a horrible job baking, it is almost always still freakin’ delicious. We’re that good.

When it was all finished, we added some vanilla ice cream and pigged out!

We’ll probably be switching back and forth between recipes we find online and ones we find in one of our (thousands) of cookbooks. We’ll even throw in a few random recipes we made up ourselves. Oh, this was beyond a simple recipe. That will not always be the case. We will also be switching from insanely simple to ridiculously advance. Well, we will do the advance stuff if we can afford the right stuff.

During the weekend we stopped by the Dr. Pepper Museum and worked at the Dallas Comic-Con! The museum was just a random side trip to entertain our short attention spans. Gossy found a wall dedicated to Big Red, The Greatest Soda of All Time, and was beyond giddy-extreme. Unfortunately, the museum started to close and we had to leave.

At the Dallas Comic-Con, it was beyond busy so we really didn’t have time to take a zillion pictures like we wanted to. Gossy didn’t even get to take pictures with anyone! Plus, there was a creepy kid who kept stalking us. He bought us stuff, so we forgave him… Anyways, the best part about conventions is trying out new food. We stopped by La Hacienda Ranch for dinner, and LOVED it. (Tapas Tacos are awesome-extreme)

We’re back home now and back to the real world. School if officially over for the summer! We have the rest of the week to relax (while we are not at our job.) Today, we decided to have a bit of fun. We stumbled upon a cutout plywood thing of a person and bought it immediately. When we got home, we started working out what became Nigel the British Zombie. He’s so adorable!!

It took us well over a hundred days, but we finally missed a day. On August 3rd, we forgot to take picture 128. About 3-am the next day, we woke up, had a mild panic attack, then went back to sleep.

This is day 127.

This is day 129.

As you can see, there is simply no 128. Gossamer was depressed for a few days, but now we have to get over it! The project has to continue!

GJ doesn’t really care. He saw something shiny and was happy.

Our weekly updates of the Gossy 365 project got really boring for us to do. Some days, there is really nothing to explain. Instead, we’re going to take the cool pictures from the project that have stories behind it and post it here. Day 105: Free Slurpee Day

We went on a mission to find as many 7/11 stores to get free slurpees. We may have went a little over board…

Day 116: Pancakes for Dinner!

We were suppose to be at the Free Movie in the Park event but it was canceled due to weather. Instead, we stopped by the Magnolia Cafe in Austin, Texas for dinner. We are not huge on pancakes, but Magnolia ginger pancakes are beyond normal pancakes. They are yummy-extreme! While all the other food we’ve tried has been amazing, we always go back for the ginger pancakes.

Day 119: Yummy!

We made a stop at Fredericksburg, Texas and went to our favorite restaurant there: Rathskeller Basement. It’s located in the basement of an old hospital. (Would that make it the morgue?) The food is so amazing! We had trouble finding restaurants that made great German food until we found Rathskeller. It’s really worth a try!

Day 121: Laugh!

We’ve started on a few new painting projects. The main thing we do is find quotes and paint them with pretty colors. We use the paintings just to brighten up our home and rooms. This quote says:

Event: Revenge of the Buns: Veggie Dog Eating Contest
When: July 4th, 2009
Where: Tiniest Bar in Texas (Austin, Tx)

Only in Austin, Texas will you find an event that has Zombie Veggie Hotdogs, a man dressed as a unicorn, other crazy costumes, and the mandatory live music all on Independence Day! July 4th was the 3rd annual Revenge of the Buns: Veggie Dog Eating Contest and it was a freakin’ blast! (We could have done without the record breaking heat, but whatever.) This 4th of July, we wanted to do something new and exciting! That resulted in us having a new found hatred of Hot Dogs…

Anyways, contestants in a doubles team or singles had 10 minutes to eat as many veggie dogs their bodies could take. Our team ate a combined total of 9.5 or 10.5 hot dogs. We were a bit delirious and lost count but we know for sure it’s over 9 and a half veggie dogs! The winning team ate 28 while the solo winner ate 16. We never knew how much it took to eat so much! Because of this event, we declared we are never entering in another food eating competition. Ever.

The event was amazing but seriously; keep hot dogs away from us!
