No More Laziness Because Our Family Is Growing!

We are back from not doing anything! We spent so much time relaxing, not worrying about responsibility, ignoring the blog. Ya know, the usual. Of course, we have kept up to date with our Gossamer 365 project. (The whole taking a picture everyday for a year of either Gossamer or GJ). I guess whoever reads this is wondering about the mysterious letter we got and if we got it deciphered. Yes we did, and we have a HUGE apology to send out to Francis… the Green Monster.

It turns out he wasn’t stalking Gossamer! (Well… he was but not to hurt him). Francis was just trying to get his autograph!! This is the translation of Francis’ letter:

Gossamer,

I apologize if I have frightened you over the the past few months. As you can see, I have no arms so it is hard for me to write or communicate with sign language. I thought being a fellow monster, you would understand the RAWR language. When we first meet, you were suppose to go to the Grand Canyon. When I went to ask for your autograph, I tripped, knocking you over. I cannot apologize enough for my actions. When the driver arrived, he assumed I was the traveling monster and took me along. He did not understand me since humans rarely speak RAWR. While I feel horrible about what has occurred, it would be a lie to say I did not enjoy my time. I meet a nice couple of humans and a traveling kitty. They helped me take pictures and helped me get back home. I hope in time you can come to forgive me and even someday call me friend.

-F

What a well versed little fellow! After much talking, Gossamer, GJ, and I have decided to adopt the little green monster. He only speaks RAWR but our friend from North Carolina has sent us a RAWR to human translation book to help us out.

GJ seems to adore his new brother… Gossamer is still a little hesitant. Anyways, for our 2 year anniversary we invited Francis to join us. He was just so cute and looked happy to be part of our weird, little family. He’s shy, but seems to love cupcakes.

NOM NOM NOM

He even showed us his Grand Canyon pictures! Here’s a few:

Francis is just reading some info on the Grand Canyon

It snowed while he was there!

All the pictures are amazing. (Click Here For the Rest) We’re so happy that Francis turned out to be a travel enthusiast and cupcake lover instead of a psychotic killer…

Until our next adventure, Toddles!!

Random Days for a Random Monster

Not much has been going on this week. We have been mostly focusing on settling in our new home. Luckily, we were able to go out and about and have some fun. We’re cool like that.

Day 12
Day 12: Fountain Fun
Tuesday was such a surprisingly nice day, we just HAD to spend it outside. Did you know tea, water fountains, and ignoring responsibilities are ingredients for a perfect day? Oh yes, it’s true.

Day 13
Day 13: WTF?
The green monster thing has defiantly followed us to our new home! (Click the picture for a better view) Gossy was just trying to make himself look nice for the day and then that thing appeared from behind the curtain. CREEPY!!!!!

Day 14
Day 14: Books Or Death
We have over 200 books… Organizing those after moving is not easy. Gossy got stuck on top of a tall pile…

Day 15
Day 15: ...blech...
Today was bleak. It started of a bit sunny but then quickly changed to Doom and Gloom. All we wanted to do was forget everything and crawl back into bed. Even heart-shaped monsters have bad days…

We’re not going to let a bit of bleakness stop us though! We have high hopes for the next few days, so Toodles for now!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2010! We are so excited for the New Year and we are back from our little break! We have so many trips, projects, and other things we will attempt to actually complete. First off, here’s the January 1st picture for the Gossamer 365 project. Yes, we are going to try and take a picture everyday for a year. Even though we failed last time, it is no reason to give-up! So wish us luck. Lots of luck. We seriously are going to need it.

Day 1: Happy New Year

It’s the New Year and the best way to celebrate it is with friends! Sadly, the evil green monster ruined this photo by sticking his horns in the picture. We tried to catch him, but he was too fast. We did not let that little incident stop us though and continued to enjoy our New Years Day!

Gossamer, GJ, and I are all very hopeful that this year is going to be a blast and can’t wait to share our stories with the world. But until then, Toodles!

Monster Alert!!

Gossamer has been paranoid that some green creature has been following him around. GJ and I did not believe him… until now. While looking over our NaNoWriMo photos, we found this:

Nanowrimo Lockdown

There is some green thing right behind my laptop! (Click the picture for a better look.) We do not know what it is or why it is following Gossamer. Any information about this mysterious green creature will be very much appreciated.

We will continue to figure out what is going on post any new information we find.

Wish us luck.

Gossamer 365: Mostly Green Edition

The Gossamer 365 Project continues with days 24-28! It’s our special, mostly green edition!

Day 24: Sonic
Day 24: Sonic
*sings* “Which one of these just doesn’t belong?” This picture is why this post is only “mostly green.” We had a late night snack attack, so we got any change we had and went to Sonic. GJ and I just wanted the oh-so-yummy Strawberry Limeade.

Day 25: Earth Day
Day 25: Earth Day
We honestly didn’t do anything special for Earth Day! We always recycle, ride our cars as little as possible, walk to local places, make our own stuff, and use environment-friendly products. It was a nice day to relax though!

Day 26: Pathway
Day 26: Pathway
This leads to an area that we all go to for relaxation, picnicking, walking, and reading time.

Day 27: Stuck in a Tree
Day 27: Stuck in a Tree
GJ tried to be cool by climbing and tree and ended up stuck…

Day 28: Shopping Green
Day 28: Shopping Green

There’s this great place just down the road from where we live that sells plants, pots, and gardening supplies. We needed to get a new pot and some new soil for Sara’s tomato plant. She named the tomato plant Buttercup. Buttercup is in fact a boy.
