No More Laziness Because Our Family Is Growing!

We are back from not doing anything! We spent so much time relaxing, not worrying about responsibility, ignoring the blog. Ya know, the usual. Of course, we have kept up to date with our Gossamer 365 project. (The whole taking a picture everyday for a year of either Gossamer or GJ). I guess whoever reads this is wondering about the mysterious letter we got and if we got it deciphered. Yes we did, and we have a HUGE apology to send out to Francis… the Green Monster.

It turns out he wasn’t stalking Gossamer! (Well… he was but not to hurt him). Francis was just trying to get his autograph!! This is the translation of Francis’ letter:

Gossamer,

I apologize if I have frightened you over the the past few months. As you can see, I have no arms so it is hard for me to write or communicate with sign language. I thought being a fellow monster, you would understand the RAWR language. When we first meet, you were suppose to go to the Grand Canyon. When I went to ask for your autograph, I tripped, knocking you over. I cannot apologize enough for my actions. When the driver arrived, he assumed I was the traveling monster and took me along. He did not understand me since humans rarely speak RAWR. While I feel horrible about what has occurred, it would be a lie to say I did not enjoy my time. I meet a nice couple of humans and a traveling kitty. They helped me take pictures and helped me get back home. I hope in time you can come to forgive me and even someday call me friend.

-F

What a well versed little fellow! After much talking, Gossamer, GJ, and I have decided to adopt the little green monster. He only speaks RAWR but our friend from North Carolina has sent us a RAWR to human translation book to help us out.

GJ seems to adore his new brother… Gossamer is still a little hesitant. Anyways, for our 2 year anniversary we invited Francis to join us. He was just so cute and looked happy to be part of our weird, little family. He’s shy, but seems to love cupcakes.

NOM NOM NOM

He even showed us his Grand Canyon pictures! Here’s a few:

All the pictures are amazing. (Click Here For the Rest) We’re so happy that Francis turned out to be a travel enthusiast and cupcake lover instead of a psychotic killer…

Until our next adventure, Toddles!!

Our Life Is Average… Sometimes

Our insane project continues with days 16 to 24!

Day 16

Day 16: Any Advice?

I started freaking out that I couldn’t get oil paint off my hands. Gossy told me to rub olive oil and salt on my hands then wash off with hot water. Afterward, wash hands with soap to remove the oil. Worked. like a charm!

Day 17

Day 17: Weirder Than Gossy

There are things out there even weirder than Gossy. This is a drawing given to us by Scott Sutton (FamileOfRee.com) at the Texas Book Festival last year. It’s seriously one of the cutest things we were ever given.

Day 18

Day 18: Lake Pflugerville

One of our favorite places in the world. 🙂

Day 19

Day 19: Research

Gossamer is so fed up with the scary, green monster that stalks him so decided to see if there was any info online. Sadly, we couldn’t find anything…

Day 20

Day 20: Just reading

Another average day, just reading. Gossy is such a bibliophile!

Day 21

Day 21: National Hugging Day

It was National Hugging Day!!! I hope you hugged your friends, family, and complete strangers!

Day 22

Day 22: Just, like, you know? Yea.... Totally.

It’s just an average week, not much to talk about or take pictures of. It happens.

Day 23

Day 23: One More Month Until...

I caught GJ looks at jewelry! It’s my birthday in exactly one month, I wonder what he’s getting me…

Day 24

Day 24: GJ is SO smart

GJ was just playing with my camera. We forgot to fix the time after Daylight Savings Day so some of the time stamps on our pictures were wrong. It’s all cool now 😉

So yea, boring week, we know. We’re just so busy working our tushies off trying to save for our Study Abroad trip to London, we haven’t had much time for real fun. Hopefully that will change soon or the first half of our 365 pictures a day project will be a bit lame.

First Contact

It has been a while since we have updated and for good reason. Gossamer was telling the truth. A green monster has been following him around. We have been desperately trying to track him down and get photo evidence. With much patience we were able to get the pictures below. Just click them to get a better look.

First we have a picture of some strange green thing with horns hiding. We placed a pumpkin pie to see if we can get him to appear.

Strange Creature

The plan works but we are still not able to get a clear shot of the little green thing.

Hungry Strange Creature

Next, Gossamer and I went to Fredericksburg, Texas for funsies. To our horror, we spotted the same green fur with horns.

Green Monster Sighting on Christmas Tree

We are still not sure who are what it is. There is also another problem. Gossamer was suppose to go on vacation to the Grand Canyon with a friend of his but was pushed out of his bag and tied up!!! Gossy says it was the green monster who did it. Poor Gossamer was left lost and crying for days before I was able to find him. I’m currently contacting those in charge of the trip to see what has happened. Little green monster, I will find you!

We forget stuff, but still very much loved.

We forgot another day of our year long Gossamer 365 project. We also keep forgetting to upload the photos. Today, we were DETERMINED to upload all our new pictures to Flickr and post some of them here. Unfortunately, we left our camera at work.

Yes, we are bubble brains.

Despite the fact we can’t remember anything, we are still very much loved. We have new fan art by Melody! (Thank you!)

Gossamer's Travels

To see the picture better, just click on it.

In other news, we got our new passports!!

Day 178: Passport to the Future

We mentioned before that we made plans to go to London, England for a study abroad program. Those plans changed a bit. We thought the course was British Literature but turned out to be Intro To Drama. Drama is not something we are really into anymore. (Long story.) Luckily, the trip to Yucatan, Mexico is exactly the type of adventure we would like. Plus it’s cheaper and that makes us giddy-extreme.

Last but not least, we’re trying to make SOME changes to the website. We’re getting bored with it and want to try something different. We’ll post any updates when (and if) they come.

Just for the heck of it, here’s a random Gossamer 365 picture just because it’s cute. It’s Day 137, and it is of Gossy and with his favorite summer treat!

GJ and That Puppet Guy

GJ and I got to see Jeff Dunham live!! It was so amazing. He was performing at College Station for the Texas A&M First Yell. It started off with different type of school music and dance performers which led to the amazing Guitar Guy: Brian Haner. He’s creepy expressions make us laugh. A LOT.

Guitar Guy

Now, you have to understand we are HUGE fans of Jeff Dunham. We have seen as many Comedy Central specials and YouTube clips of him as possible. This was our second time to one of his shows and our sides are still hurting from laughing so damn much.

Peanut

The Reed Arena was completely packed!

Day 160: Jeff Dunham!

For a guy who plays with dolls for a living, he sure has a HUGE fanbase.

Gossamer 365 Update

Good News: We’ve passed the 150 mark in our project!

Bad News: We missed another day.

We are sad.

Day 154 has come and gone. I’m starting to think we’re not really good at this whole take a picture every day thing. Once again, we must move on and continue to take pointless pictures every single day.

Gossy didn’t take missing a day too well. When he’s moody, he stays that way for days. I didn’t want to deal with moody-ness, so I gave him a knife and Wreck This Journal. A few hours later, Gossy was happy as ever.

Day 156: Therapy

For those not familiar with Wreck This Journal; it’s a journal that you wreck. Therapy through destruction!

Everything’s back to normal now. We even made a stop by Lake Pflugerville.

Day 157: Lake Pflugerville

Doesn’t he look so adorable?

Big Red, Dallas, and Zombies! Oh, My!

During the weekend we stopped by the Dr. Pepper Museum and worked at the Dallas Comic-Con! The museum was just a random side trip to entertain our short attention spans. Gossy found a wall dedicated to Big Red, The Greatest Soda of All Time, and was beyond giddy-extreme. Unfortunately, the museum started to close and we had to leave.

Day 139: Little Red & Big Red

At the Dallas Comic-Con, it was beyond busy so we really didn’t have time to take a zillion pictures like we wanted to. Gossy didn’t even get to take pictures with anyone! Plus, there was a creepy kid who kept stalking us. He bought us stuff, so we forgave him… Anyways, the best part about conventions is trying out new food. We stopped by La Hacienda Ranch for dinner, and LOVED it. (Tapas Tacos are awesome-extreme)

Day 140: GJ Sized Tacos!

We’re back home now and back to the real world. School if officially over for the summer! We have the rest of the week to relax (while we are not at our job.) Today, we decided to have a bit of fun. We stumbled upon a cutout plywood thing of a person and bought it immediately. When we got home, we started working out what became Nigel the British Zombie. He’s so adorable!!

Day 143: Gossy the Heart-Shaped Monster and Nigel the British Zombie

Isn’t he the cutest zombie ever?!
